Monochrome Luxe
Are you planning on a high-end luxury monochrome wedding?
We’ll I bet you’ll be glad you found us.
We are A Touch of Kent. We are a luxury wedding styling & floral specialists based in Kent (Don’t panic, we do travel all over for our weddings!).
We were asked down to the incredible Hayne House, in Hythe for one of their Open days. At their request, we styled it in a Monochromatic Black Tie. I think we nailed it!
How can you make your wedding monochrome luxe…
Choose tall and elegant centrepieces. Here we’ve used our tall candelabras using our LED candles (this venue does not allow real flame). Inside we’ve filled the candelabra with fresh white big headed hydrangeas and classical gypsophila. This creates a show stopping focal point for guests to dine around.
2. Add black to the table. Don’t be afraid using black at weddings. It’s becoming hugely popular and a staple piece for a classic and timeless day. Here, we table scaped with elegant black rimmed charger plates and opted for the venues silver cutlery (this is standard in most venues so you’ll save a fortune). We added a black frayed rim napkin which adds depth and aesthetic to the table. We opted for a flat-lay styled napkin as this is more timeless. We also added a personalised menu card combined place names. This helps guests know what they’re eating and where they’re sitting.
3. Create a top table focal point!
We decided to go for something a little different of a fresh gypsophila and hydrangea waterfall. This gives such a flow effect as though the florals are cascading down. This will be sure to get the guests talking. Also, it leaves room for you to actually use the table and not be cramped.
4. Picture perfect
We wanted somewhere where guests can congregate and a show-stopper for
photos. We placed our concertina paper plinths in a corner, added a luxury simplistic cake styled with a large black velvet bow (can’t get more luxe than velvet can you?) and then a super modern champagne tower. As bows are in such high demand at the moment, we added mini black bows to our tower. This is reflecting the theme throughout the whole wedding.
Lastly, 5. Signage!
No wedding is complete without matching signage. Here we’re used our recycled acrylic. Can you see all the signage is keeping in theme with the monochrome wedding? Really clean and classic.
I can guarantee, if you follow these tips, you won’t look back at your wedding photos in years to come and regret your colour choice. In fact, you’ll want to do it all over again but better.
